Never try to repair a Lifejacket yourself. You could cause more damage and render the Lifejacket irreparable or affect the warranty. Always return the Lifejacket to Crewsaver for repairs or servicing.
Check your Lifejacket for signs of wear or abrasion every time you put it on. See that the belts are securely attached. Check the straps, webbing and stitching for signs of damage. If any damage is found, do not use your Lifejacket. Return your Lifejacket to Crewsaver for examination and repair quote.
1. Carry out the checks detailed in the Hammar Lifejacket Checking section|
2. Check the presence of the CO2 cylinder by feeling the inflation chamber above the inflation device and ensure the cylinder is firmly tightened to the firing head.
3. Check the air holding properties of the Lifejacket by inflating orally and leaving overnight. If air loss does occur, return the Lifejacket to Crewsaver for inspection (see Servicing|).
