Is your Lifejacket fitted with an Integral Harness?

How can you tell if your Lifejacket is fitted witha Harness?

Below are 5 characteristics that Harness versions have:

01 - Stainless steel buckle
02 - Stainless steel 'D' ring
03 - 50mm harness belt
04 - Twin 50mm nylon shoulder straps
05 - Heavy duty stitching

The CEN Standard states that in the case of the combined Lifejacket and Harness, both elements must be tested and have separate CE Approval.

CE Approved Safety Lines are available from Crewsaver - please click here!|

How does wearing a Lifejacket fitted with a Harness benefit you?

An integral Harness enables you to secure yourself on deck (via an appropriate safety line) to help prevent you falling overboard. Should this happen, wearing a Harness would act as an aid to help your crew recover you back onto the deck.

PLEASE NOTE:
It is not safe to wear a Harness loose. Harnesses are not intended to prevent falls from a height. If you have a Harness version and it has been subjected to an exceptional shock load when being worn, it should be returned to Crewsaver for inspection.
