Always use Crewsaver Re-arm packs.
The Crewsaver Hammar re-arming pack includes full instructions on fitting and is available from chandlers. Full re-arming instructions| are also supplied with your Lifejacket.
Note: Follow the instructions |contained in the re-arming pack except for paragraphs 5, 6 and 7. Crewsaver supply the CO2 cylinders factory fitted to the inner body using a special glue. Do not unscrew the cylinder from the back plate.
After use the firing head will indicate a red spot. Alternatively, if the Lifejacket has been fired manually the lanyard will be missing.
The pack contains a key to undo the head, a firing head showing the green spot, a new gas cylinder which is glued onto the new inner body and re-arming instructions|. For 150N Lifejackets use a 33g cylinder and for 275N Lifejacket use a 60g cylinder.
1. Lay Lifejacket on a flat surface and wipe off excess water. Hold the gas cylinder through the fabric with one hand.
2. Insert and turn the key anti-clockwise between black locking ring and labelled yellow cap.
3. Now turn black locking ring anti-clockwise and lift off cap. Dispose carefully of used cap in an environmentally safe manner.
4. Take out the inner body with the gas cylinder through the sealing ring.
5. Reinsert the new gas cylinder and inner body, with gas cylinder pointing upright inside the lifejacket inflator. Let the sealing ring rest on the central body around the four lugs.
6. To ensure the seal around the head is sound orally inflate the Lifejacket and leave overnight. If deflation occurs remove and re-fit the head as described.
