
When needed, open out the hood, place over your head and stretch the elastic over the inflated chambers of the Lifejacket.
Spray Hoods are used to cover the face and protect the airway when in the water, helping to prevent secondary drowning. Note that secondary drowing is caused when fine particles of water from spray enter the lungs, causing irritation. The fluid produced in the lungs as a result can accumulate and potentially cause drowning up to 72 hours after immersion.
PLEASE NOTE:
After use, rinse in fresh water and allow to dry naturally before repacking.
